Ik heb de therma-boost aangeschaft ter vervanging van mijn 'oude' soldeerpistool. Wanneer je hem aansluit wordt hij gelijk warm (30w). De schakelaar functioneert enkel als temperatuur booster (130W) Wordt minder snel warm als een 'ouderwets' pistool en blijft zoals een soldeerbout langer heet. Voor de rest vind ik het een praktisch, lekker licht, soldeer pistool en is zelfs geschikt voor relatief fijn soldeerwerk (zoals conrectoren voor audio).
