This portable soldering iron is great for fine work. Used this tool to re-solder a button to a circuit board for a car key fob, very easily. Well designed unit: quick to start up, easy to hold and rest without any external holder, and comes with a neat cap that also makes sure the unit switch is off. The complaints on here read like reviews that a hammer doesn’t work with screws. It runs on 3 AA batteries and has a fine tip—it can’t do what a higher watt soldering iron can. Favourite tool after one repair job, it’s paid itself already!
